We're back in business!

Thanks for sticking by me the past few months! It was such a hard decision to close, but I needed to focus on my schooling. On April 22, 2011, I will become the first woman in the history of my family to graduate from college. I will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics and Visual Art. I'll also be graduating with high honors! I'm super excited to be done and to start a new chapter in my life. I am also excited to get back to photography!

I am now booking for May-August! Spread the word!

Thanks to those who continue to check out Monae PD. I have been meaning to make some changes to my blog about links and things so sorry if they aren't always going where you think they should! Yesterday was my last wedding of the summer before school starts and I just wanted to say THANKS to all the brides and grooms from this summer. It's been such an amazing experience to start my dream of owning my own photography business (I never thought it would have happened so soon). Yesterday was bittersweet--- I am looking forward to starting my first level in the education program, but oh how I am going to miss photographing weddings until next summer (I am still doing family, seniors, etc.). I am glad the summer ended with the one it did. Sarah and Derek were an incredibly fun couple. They both have great personalities and enjoy being with each other. Most importantly, the wedding was at the Bountiful Temple so it was extra fun for me since that's where I was married to my sweetheart.

Again, thank you for an incredible summer and experience! Good luck to all the newlyweds... marriage is so awesome!

I'll continue to post pictures from the summer weddings over the next few months and as a reminder, I am still booking sessions for families, seniors, etc. I'll start doing weddings again April of 2010. (If you're lucky I'll do one or two weddings during the school year... I don't know if I can wait until April!!! Email me!)

{Bridal Show} My First!

Thanks to those of you who stopped by my booth on Saturday! It was such a big step for me and I am so glad that I was able to do it! Sorry if you missed me! The show ended an hour early and kind of two hours early when they realized that had a wedding booked at the same time and ended up completely moving my booth (as well as others)! I was not too happy as I had set up the day before and next thing you know they are moving everything and I was squished in a little space and my stuff wasn't set up how I had it! However, it was a great experience! Here is a picture!

{Logo} My first!

Yay! I finally have a new logo design! Here it is! Carly is such a great designer! She will be doing my business cards next and blog and some other things! I love it! It represents Chris and Me. Chris loves blue and I love green and can I just say I LOVE my middle name! Thanks, Grandma!
